James Strautman Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 22, 2021, at the age of 94, James Strautman of Carroll, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Strautman to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Strautman and Theresa Strautman (Palms); his former wife Joetta; and his son Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Joan Olesen of Carroll; his granddaughter Sarah; and his children, Jim (Carol) of Carroll, John (Kate) of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Janice Stoffel (William) of Dubuque, Mary Jeffers of Warrenville, IL, Ellen Johnson (Larry) of Des Moines, Trish Strautman of Dubuque and Katie Kaiser (Kenny) of Ankeny. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Those in attendance are required to wear a face covering and abide by current social distancing guidelines.
In lieu of flowers, should one desire, memorials may be left for James J. Strautman Center for Academic Excellence at Kuemper Catholic Schools in Carroll, Iowa.
