He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Pietig and Evelyn Pietig (Berning); his wife Karma Theulen; his brothers-in-law, Chuck Gerdes and Rodney Theulen; his parents-in-law, Robert Sr. and Louise Theulen; and his niece Jennifer Theulen.
He is survived by: his sons, Tim Pietig (Deb) of Carroll, Jeff Pietig of Carroll and Scott Pietig (Kim) of Carroll; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Grossman (Dan) of Carroll, Paula Theulen of Carroll, Bob Theulen (Deb Selk) of Auburn and Randy Theulen (Cheri) of Halbur. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
