He was predeceased by: his parents, George Schipper and Anna Schipper (Miller); and his siblings, George G., Harm G. Schipper, Annie Prange, Pearl Schipper, Esther Krull and Violet Kappel.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Grandon; his children, Lana Elson (Charles) of Rochester, MN and Bart (Lucy) of Cedar Falls; his grandsons, Andrew, Noah, Nathan and Joshua Schipper; and his siblings, Jessie Peters of Aplington, Bennie of Ackley and John (Marie) of Greene.
