He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Frey and Helen Frey (Wubbena); his daughter Karla Kaye Frey; his grandson Daniel Stevenson; and his sister Doris Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Alda Rhea Koenen; his daughters, Sherri Peterson of Cedar Falls and Deanne Ubben (Tim) of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, Cody Ubben (Nicole), Matthew Stevenson (Ali), Cassi Price (James) and Karla Peterson; and his great grandchildren, Jaden, Brandon, Kaitlyn Ubben, Henry, Charlotte Stevenson, Ella Ubben and Ivy Price.
