It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel I. Johnson (Cedar Falls, Iowa), born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on August 17, 2019, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Blacksmith and Nadine Carl Blacksmith; her siblings, Donna Jean Dana and Kenny Blacksmith; her close friend Wayne Straw; her niece Jeanette Achenbach; her nephew John Dana; and her great-nephew Jason.
She is survived by: her former husband Richard Johnson; her sons, Darin Johnson (Stephanie) of Waterloo and Chad Johnson (Casey) of Evansdale; her grandchildren, Kimberly, Dominique, Taylor, Dylan, Zach and Cooper; her nieces, Kathleen Begley of Evansdale, Kris Begley of Hudson and Amanda Kirchhoff of Waterloo; her sister-in-law Marti Blacksmith; and her nephews, Leonard Dana of Waterloo and Russ Blacksmith of Evansdale. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
