He was predeceased by: his parents, Augusta Petersen (Madsen) and James F. Petersen Seed Farm; his wife Marilyn Lowe; and his siblings, Roberta Ove, Clara Lueken, Evelyn Sheard and Carl.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Petersen (Susan) of Hudson, William Petersen (Dee) of Round Rock, TX, Christine Draheim (Bradd) of Brooklyn, WI and Susan Ruschill (Alan) of Burlington. He is also survived by five grandchildren; five step grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a great-granddaughter due in 2024; and six step great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
