He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ortman and Martha Ortman (Hoffman); his former spouse Nannette Anderson (Herwig); his wife Mary Lou; and his brother-in-law Dave Koob.
He is survived by: his children, Paula Keesy (Bob) of Niwot, CO, Dennis Ortman (Karen) of Escondido, CA and Joel Ortman (Sue) of Stillwater, MN; and his sister Elaine Koob of Stillwater, MN.. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
