She was predeceased by: her parents, Warner Clair and Erma Beggs Holcombe; and her brother Howard Holcombe. She is survived by: her former husband Kenneth Earnest; her husband Ken of Cedar Falls; her sons, Bryan Earnest (Lara) of Waterloo and Bruce Earnest (Ann) of Cedar Falls; her grandsons, Cole, Luke and Kyle Earnest; and her sister Sylvia Nelson of Davenport.
After moving to Waterloo, she was on the committee for Relay for Life of the American Cancer Society for 10 years, a member of PEO Chapter JP and then the combined FE-JP serving as President for two years.
