It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice McMahon Hay of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, who passed away on September 16, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Loretta Hood McMahon and Mortimer "Mert" Francis McMahon of Barnum, Iowa.; her children, Susan Maureen and Joseph Eugene; her siblings, Donald, Mary Anderson (Donald), Eugene (Jane), Helen Crilly (John), Catherine O'Neil (John), Anna Marie Best (Robert), James (Rita), Robert (Blanche), Hubert (Irma), Mortimer "Mert", Merle and Joan Smith (Richard); her brother-in-law Donald Schuh; her siblings' children, Jean Anderson Riley, Sheila McMahon Shuttler, Elizabeth Crilly, John Thomas McMahon, Robert Anderson, Patrick O'Neil and Donald McMahon; and also, Lyvern, Marie Trausch Hay and James Hay (Joyce).
She is survived by: her husband Gene; her children, Kathleen, Stephen and Marion; her grandchildren, Sara, Greg Carson, Matt, Renae Thompson, Marion, Lauren and Jeff Morris; her children, Mary Alice of Minneapolis and Niles King of Oro Valley, Arizona.; her sister Petronilla Schuh (Pate); her sister-in-law Joan McMahon; and also, Susan Bednar, John, Thomas Bednar, Katherine Smith, Clara, Samuel of Washington, D. C., Julie, Claire, Logan, Hunter Carson, Scarlet, Ruby Thompson, Drew, Jeremy and Remy Morris.
