Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Alvera Hogan of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Waucoma, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 92, on February 12, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Kuennen and Francis Kuennen (Reicks); her husband William Hogan; her siblings, Adolph Kuennen (Alice), Rene Kuennen (Joan), Herbert Kuennen (Hilda), Luke Kuennen and Katie Vargason (Lavern); and her brothers-in-law, Joe Roete and Marion Vargason.
She is survived by: her children, Patty Burrack (Dan) of Arlington, Janet Behning (Darwin) of Cedar Rapids, Ron Hogan (Melody) of Strawberry Point and Scott Hogan (Shelly) of Weston, Wisconsin; her siblings, Alice Roete of Oelwein, Agnes Vargason of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Urban Kuennen (Floraine) of Oelwein; and her sister-in-law Margie Kuennen of Oelwein. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 19 step-great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; four step-great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Alvera's name to the Food Pantry at St Mary Catholic Church in Strawberry Point, Iowa.
