It is with great sadness that we announce the death of April Spooner-Kolek of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on November 24, 2020, at the age of 42, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Harlen, Mary Fortner and Ruby Chapman. She is survived by: her husband Adam Michael Kolek; her pets, Duke, Pebbles, Mia, Cuddles and Sissy; her parents, Jeffery Spooner Sr. and Ginni Kolek; her brothers, Gregory Spooner (Jolene) and Jeffery Spooner Jr. (Erin); her siblings' children, Heather, Cassie (Adalyn Spooner), Samantha Miller and Douglas (Lorelei Slater); and her uncle Gary Fortner.
She left this world on Nov. 24, 2020, after losing a courageous battle with COVID-19, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
