He was predeceased by: his parents, DeVer Port and Frida Port (Mary); and his sister Margaret Brown. He is survived by: his wife Mary Port (Kelsey); his children, Rodney A. Port (Renate) of Lowden and Anniejo Beardsley (Thomas) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Tamara Beardsley (Matt Bliss) of Cedar Rapids, Casey Port of Cedar Rapids, Tracy Matthiessen of Marion, Andrew Beardsley (Charity) of Cedar Rapids and Ranelle Schroeder of Cedar Rapids; his great grandchildren, Corey Scott (Dee), Joshua Thomas, David Bliss, Kylee-Ann Thomas, John Dostal Jr., Dalton Vick, Joshua Bliss, Zachary Bliss, Aydan Beardsley, Piper Beardsley, Jackson Schroeder and Autumn Beardsley; and his great great grandchild River Scott.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or Mercy Hospice in memory of Arnold.
