He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Nancy Pfutzenreuter; his children, Sam (Cindy Weaver) of Anoka and Katrina (Sean Atwell) of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his sisters, Nancy Stage (Tim) of Dike, Cleda Houmes of Salinas and Allison Larson of Algona, Iowa.; and his parents, Dr. Richard L. Houmes and Alice L. Houmes (Kubec).
