He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathleen (Dougherty) and Marvin Young, Sr.; and his sister Margaret Arnold. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Young of Cedar Rapids; his children, Charles Young, Jr. of Texas, Jacob Young of Marion, Lillian "Lilly" of Cedar Rapids, Carter of Cedar Rapids, Samuel of Cedar Rapids and Carly Young of Cedar Rapids; his siblings, Marvin Young, Jr. of Cedar Rapids, Laura Ogreen of Cedar Rapids and Gayle Merrifield (Neal) of Omaha, Nebraska; and his brother-in-law David Arnold of Cedar Rapids.
