He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto A. Petersen and Eileen Petersen (Beebe); and his half-brother Gary Rohn. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Lisa Hines (Rick) of Spring Valley, California and Mike Petersen (Peggy) of St. Charles; his stepson Brad Jackson of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Katie Simpson (Mike), Dan Hines, Jake Petersen and Nick Petersen; his great grandchildren, Zachary, Blake, Hadley Simpson, Connor Hines and Logan Hines; his former wife Joyce Doggett of Des Moines; his sister Vernette Gardner of Mohave Valley, Arizona; and his half-brothers, Edward Rohn and Eugene Rohn (Linda). He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.
