She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Beitz and Edyth Beitz (Stone); her stepmother Louise Beitz; her son William Alatalo; and her sister-in-law Donna Beitz.
She is survived by: her husband Donald; her sons, David Alatalo (Regina) of Iowa City, Richard Alatalo of Cedar Rapids, Brian Alatalo (Jamie) of West Branch and Brad Alatalo of Loveland; her brother Craig Beitz of Bettendorf; and her stepsister Sharon McCarville of Viola. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; one great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.
