She was predeceased by: her brother Ron Sturgeon; and her parents, Dean Sturgeon and June Sturgeon (Wasendorf). She is survived by: her husband Harry Rote; her children, Brad Tatro of Texas, James Rote of Burlington, Corey R. Rote (Amanda), Carmon L. Rote (Katie Jones), Ben Rote (Annie) and Savannah L. Rote (Neal Johnson); her siblings, Sandy Williams of Cedar Rapids, Iowa., Therese Holderness (Lester) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. and Vickie Weems (Leonard) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.; and her pets, Heather and Sarah. She is also survived by many grandchildren, a great grandchild, nieces and nephews.
