He was predeceased by: his son Michael; his siblings, Francis (Mildred), Germaine (Merlin), Joseph (Marian), James and Alan; his parents, Joseph Heiderscheit and Catherine Klein Heiderscheit; and his wife Doris Eileen Kalb.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dawn Leonard (Seth) of Cedar Rapids and Denise Van Gorden (Laird) of Raleigh, NC; his grandchild Paige Catherine; his daughter Diane Zearley (Roger) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Krizia Elisha, Kylee Anne (Colton Rhines) and Samantha Jo; his great grandchildren, RyAnne Brooklyn and Claire Eileen; and his sister-in-law Patricia Heiderscheit. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Due to concerns over the novel coronavirus, it is suggested that friends and family wear a mask to any funeral event.
