He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Sr. Nikodim and Dorothy Nikodim. He is survived by: his siblings, Louis Nikodim Jr. (Connie), Nancy Fite (Richard) and Donna Wiebold; and his siblings' children, Lou Nikodim (Danyell), Josh Nikodim, Rebekah Callaway (Jason), Jennifer Murray (Darrin), Jessica Robards (Chad), Carrie and Danette Fite.

David bravely endured Parkinson's disease for much of his adult life.
