He was predeceased by: his wife Sherilyn Beecher Bathgate; his parents, George Bathgate and Anna Bathgate; his siblings-in-law, Norman Ashley, Wesley Ashley and Caryn Ashley; and his nephew Eric Ashley.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Jean Bathgate (Gary Omar) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Kevin Christopher Bathgate (Tami) of Temecula, CA and Carla Ann Kinch (Karl) of Cedar Rapids, IA; his grandchildren, Austin Grant Bathgate of Temecula, CA, Colton Reed Bathgate of Temecula, CA and Jordan Nichole Kinch; his sisters, Sharon Louise Nenne (Eugene) and Margaret Ann Stutzman (Donald); and also Bright Eyes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
