He was predeceased by: his parents, Ladislav James and Vlasta Hamous (Liskovsky); his sister Joanne Walrath (Howard); and his granddaughter Sarah. He is survived by: his wife Irene Naxera; his sons, Bruce Hamous (Barbara) of Cedar Rapids and Steve Hamous (Janet) of Wichita, KS; and his grandchildren, Brandon (Sandy), James (Kayla), Christina (Nick), Racheal (Cole) and Michael (Maggie). He is also survived by nine great grandchildren; and two nephews.
The family requests memorials be directed to The National Czech and Slovak Museum and Library in Cedar Rapids.
