He was predeceased by: his sisters, Virginia Clark and Sarah Brown. He is survived by: his wife Elfriede; his sons, Scott (Sarah) of Iowa City and Michael (Patrick Carlin) of Marion; his brother James (Doris) of Dubuque; his grandsons, Evan and Miles; and his parents, Jesse Hansen and Harriet Johnson Hansen.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations me be given to the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight or to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church.
