He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hruby and Bessie Hruby (Yansky); his brother Jerry Hruby (Lois); his sister-in-law Arlene Netolicky (Clarence); and his son Doug Hruby.
He is survived by: his spouse Gladys V. Chaloupka; his son Bruce (Stacy) of Oconomowoc; his grandsons, Dustin Hruby Wyttenhove (Kacey) of North Liberty, Peter Hruby of North Liberty and Alex Hruby of North Liberty; and his sister Vlasta Brase of Janesville. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
