She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Thomas and Gladys Marie Phillipson (Ralston); and her sister Lana Henry. She is survived by: her husband Michael "Mike"; her sons, Dustin Bruce (Jenni) of Council Bluffs, Damien Bruce (Heather) of Vinton and Dylan Bruce of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Quintin, Kaleb, Caden, Teagan, Taylor and Alex; her great grandchild Wren; her sister Karen Tjelmeland (Thomas) of Ely; and her close friend Berni Blazek of Cedar Rapids.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center.
