She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Margaret Taylor (Campbell) and Thomas Taylor of Iowa City; her spouse Herb Hartzler Jr.; her children, Kathy Knight (Glenn) of Kissimmee, Florida, Jeff Hartzler (Michele) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Jim Hartzler (Susan) of Byron, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Glenn Roy (Alyaa), Katie (Gio), Henry (Amanda), Greg and Emma; and her great grandchildren, Hana, Kate and Greyson.
Memorials in Dorothy's name can be made to the Eastern Iowa Alzheimer's Association.
