He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Ballou and Kathryn Ballou (Little); his wife Natalie J. Jenkins; his siblings, Ralph G. Ballou, Donald "Tib" Ballou and Audrey Morehead (Ballou); and his son-in-law Sid Hansen.
He is survived by: his children, Kathryn "Kat" M. Ballou Hansen and Rodney D. Ballou (Dave Oshita) of Honolulu, HI; his grandson Sidney Hansen; and his friend Kathy.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made in Earl's memory to Camp Courageous of Iowa.
