He was predeceased by: his brother William; his great grandchild Oliver; his parents, George Hill and Pauline Hill; and his wife Lois Benson.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Hill (Christine) of Miramar, FL, Debora Aldrich (Craig) of Cedar Rapids and Susan Engelbart (Robin) of Marion; and his grandchildren, Ryan Dagon, Kelley Blair, Brian Hill, Peter Skow, Alicia Ruhkala, Jeffrey Kiley, Michelle Vaughan and Joshua Engelbart.
Memorial donations may be made to Faith Lutheran Church in Marion or the Linn County Genealogical Society.
