He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Alderman and Elna Alderman (Eklund); and his siblings, John Alderman, Betty Reppe and Jimmy Alderman.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Alderman of Cedar Rapids; his children, Rose Frahm (Carey) of Olin, Michael Alderman of Cedar Rapids, Douglas Alderman of Texas and Peggy Stepanek (Jim) of Delhi, Iowa; his grandchildren, Hailey, Lauren Stepanek and Tiffany Wink (Jeremy); his great grandchildren, Taylor Poduska (Sean) and Braden Wink; his great great grandchild Gracie Poduska; and his siblings, Leland Reppe (Adelpha), JoAnne Bell and Sharon Burkhalter.
