He was predeceased by: his parents, William Long and Pearl Long (Falls); his former wife Grace; his son Allen Long; and his siblings, Glenn Long, Gwenn Long, Grant Long and Harvey Long.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Long of Cedar Rapids; his sons, Jeff Long (Dixie), Kevin Long (Candy) and Steve Long (Denise); and his grandchildren, Jodi, Josh, Nick, Leslie, Jacob, Michele, Linsey and Max. He is also survived by several step-sons; and several step-grandchildren.
