He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Michalec and Francis Michalec (Bammert). He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Michalec of Cedar Rapids; his children, Angela Salter (Travis) of Marion, IA, Julia Michalec of Cedar Rapids, Ryann Nuss (Jen) of Des Moines, IA and Jenny Nuss (Nate) of California; and his grandchildren, Gavin and Camden Salter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
