He was predeceased by: his parents, John Haronitis and Elaine Haronitis (Montalemaki); and his brother Dimitrios Haronitis. He is survived by: his sisters, Clara Bohren of Cedar Rapids, Mary Williams (Dwight) of Maryland and Harouloi Hamiotaki of Greece. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church.
