He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hoover and Georgia Hoover; his wife Janet Hoover (Century Cab); his brothers, Bill Hoover and Nathan Hammond; and his nephew Christopher Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Rosalee Gruhn, Jonathan Hoover and Jill James; his grandchildren, Rebekah Hilbert (Dawson) and Camron Nutt; his great grandchildren, Nova and Bently Hilbert; his sisters-in-law, Patricia Truesdell and D. K. Hoover; and his pets, Herky, Samson and Willow. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
