It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Byrne of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on August 18, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Byrne and Mildred Byrne (Healy); and his siblings, Barb, Tom, Jack and Mick.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa Lee Philipp; his sons, Matt Byrne (Lisa) of Aurora, IL and Greg Byrne (Dawn) of Ely, IA; his siblings, Carol Goodman of Denver, CO, Rick, Dave Byrne of Cedar Rapids and Frank Byrne of Friday Harbor, WA; and his grandchildren, McKenna, Dillon, Brock, Riley, Brady, Carson and Maddox. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, brothers in law and sisters in law.
