He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Beer and Rose Beer (Herold); his siblings, Arleen Collins (Quentin), Raymond Marvin and Robert Marvin; his parent-in-law Matthew; and his siblings-in-law, Ronald Ruzicka and Mary Lou Smejkal.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Jeanne Kewley (James), Steven (Terra) and Bradley (Janette); his grandchildren, Crossland, Simon, Eliott, Anna Beer of Cheyenne, Meredith Beer and Lydia Beer of Cedar Rapids; and his siblings-in-law, June Beer, Jean Beer, Barbara Ruzicka, Robert Ruzicka (Theresa), Matthew Ruzicka (Mary Henderson), Dennis Ruzicka (Karan) and Alan Smejkal (Sybil Merfeld). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Wenceslaus Church, Cedar Valley Humane Society, or Hospice of Mercy.
