He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Fredrick and Ida Marie Witte (Sandersfeld); his brother Donald Witte; and his brothers-in-law, Ed Maschmann and Terry Strang.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ruth Heitman of North English; his sons, Mark Witte (Cindy) and Paul Witte (Kim); his grandchildren, Drew Witte (Lynn), Megan Jansen (Matthew), Katie Golobic (Martin) and Lauren Dorman (Andy); and his sisters, Janet Maschmann and Joann Strang. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Essence of Life Hospice or St. James Lutheran Church in Victor.
