He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald E. Scoggin and Arlene Scoggin (Dawson) of Waterloo, Iowa.; his sister Marie Ratute; and his brothers-in-law, Stephen Oettel and Peter Schaefer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Schmidt (Kyle) of Atkins, Jennifer Stull (David) of Independence, Stephanie Veach (Shamus) of Cedar Rapids, Barbara Wilson of Norway, Dawn Wauters (Wes) of Keystone and Teresa Scoggin of Cedar Rapids; and his siblings, Daniel Scoggin (Sandy) of Evansdale, Donald II Scoggin (Teressa) of Evansdale, Mark Scoggin (Kathy) of Waterloo, Sandra Schaefer of Waterloo, Carol Ritter (Bill) of Waterloo and Mary Oettel of Waterloo. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
