He was predeceased by: his wife Betty; and his parents, James Kimmerle and Majory Kimmerle. He is survived by: his significant other Robin Smith; and his children, Tedi Nuzzo, Nikki Kimmerle (Jay), Karleen Jessop (Tadd), James Kimmerle (Carrie), Laurence Burgin and Eddie Burgin. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a sister and three brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family.
