He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Marie Vislisel (Hartl) and Joseph Vislisel. He is survived by: his wife Melanii Vislisel; his children, Mark Vislisel (Lori) of Mt. Vernon and Ann Kortemeyer (Tim) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Sara Suess (Wyatt) and Jay Kortemeyer; and his stepgranddaughter Elizabeth Rueschhoff. He is also survived by five siblings; and several nieces and nephews.
