She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Ames and Ella Ames (Jarstad); her husband Jerry; her siblings, Alton Ames, Ervin Ames, Arlene Wilson (Ben), Shirley Kabela and Doris Egbert (Fred); her sister-in-law Carol Ames; and her siblings' children, Tommy Ames, Robbie Ames, Dan Hamilton, Anne Hamilton and Sally Gorman.

She is survived by: her son Jeff Sindelar (LeeAnn) of Marion; her grandchildren, Derek Sindelar (Terese) of Jackson, Wisconsin, Kari Greiter (Nolan) of Chicago and Shannon Thiele (Justin) of Ames; her great grandchildren, Graham Greiter and Reagan Sindelar; her brothers, Vernon Ames (Lynn) of Marion and Robert Ames of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Ames of Amana and Robert Kabela of Solon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
