It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Nelson (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), born in Sioux City, Iowa, who passed away on April 2, 2018, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his daughters, Chris Nelson of Cedar Rapids and Geri Kearney (John) of Ottumwa; his grandchildren, Thomas, Sarah and Rose; his siblings, Marjorie Reichardt (Bud), Tom Nelson (Eleanor) and Jack Nelson (Marge); his wife Becky; and his parents, Oscar Nelson and Carrie Nelson. He is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews He loved his family and is preceded in death by his parents.
In Lieu of flowers the family asks for memorials to be made to St. Mark's Lutheran in Marion, Iowa and First Lutheran Church in Ottumwa, Iowa.
