Joann Remington Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 23, 2021, at the age of 83, Joann Remington of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Elkader, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bahls and Irene Bahls (Polkow); her husband Dean Remington; her great grandchild John Hinrichs; and her siblings, Dolores Freeman, Dwayne Bahls, Harold Bahls and Jeanette Schmelzer.

She is survived by: her children, Doug Remington (Carol) of Marion, Dan Remington (Debra) of Toddville, Pam Hinrichs (John) of Alburnett, Glen Remington (Jamae) of Marion, Rebecca Forkner (Dale) of Marion and Patty Breja (Craig) of Cedar Rapids; her siblings, Ida Lou Jilek, Geraldine Slaybaugh and Donald Bahl (Patte); and her sisters-in-law, Sharon Bahls and Elinor Remington. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
