He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Hegarty and Frances Hegarty; and his siblings, Winifred Becker, Mary Riedel and Donald Hegarty Jr.
He is survived by: his spouse Gertrude Lentz; his children, John Jr, Elizabeth Posekany (Dave), Jennifer Hoeppner (Brad) and Atkins; his grandchildren, Alyssa Hoeppner, Shelby Hoeppner, Lindsey Posekany and Dawson Posekany; and also Swisher.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in John's honor.
