With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Plotz (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), born in Norway, Iowa, who passed away on October 8, 2018 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Plotz and Elizabeth Plotz (McGuire); and his siblings, Leo (Elizabeth), Melvin, Thomas, Eldred (Leona), Gerald Plotz (Donna) and Mary Plotz.
He is survived by: his wife Trudy; his children, Allen (Anita), Gary (Chae) and Diane Gartzke (David) of Kaukauna, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Ryan Plotz, Andrea Meder (Adam), LeAnne Hazlett (Brett), Alex Plotz (Vanessa), Branden Sobaski (Lindsay), Brett Sobaski and Calista Sobaski; and his brother Parlyn Plotz (Helen) of Marengo. He is also survived by eight great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
