He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thompson and Ruth Thompson (Tilson); and his siblings, Dr. Robert Thompson and Joni Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Linda Thompson of Cedar Rapids; his children, Brian Thompson (Alexandra) of Oakridge, Jeff Thompson of Cedar Rapids and Julie Hollan (Steve) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Ryan, Larissa Thompson, Brody and Dalton Hollan; and his daughter-in-law Gloria Thompson of North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial fund to be established.
