Karen Wiederin Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen Wiederin of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Carroll, Iowa, who passed away on December 20, 2020 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her sister Kathy Gravitt; her brothers-in-law, Merle Wiederin, Elmer Wiederin, Vernon Weber and Gene Hermsen; her sibling's children, Robin Hermsen and Jeff Wurzer; her parents, Edward Ratigan and Theresa Yohnke Ratigan; and her husband Robert Wiederin.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel (Kristi) of Tampico, IL, Bret (Tami) of Cedar Rapids, Curtis of Cedar Rapids, Shawn (Lisa) of Cedar Rapids and Amy Bartachek (Phil) of North Liberty; her grandchildren, Blayke (Ausha), Josh (Morgan), Chelsea Larson (Alex), Amanda Bradford (John), Brandon, Grant, Ian, Ashton Wiederin, Ethan, Lucas and Katie Bartachek; her great grandchildren, Imari, Alexis, Eloise, Ellie, Noah and Corbin; her sisters, Rita Hermsen, Norma MacQuaid (Craig) and Jean Weber; and her parents-in-law, Betty Wiederin, Joleen Wiederin, Alice Riedesel (Bruce), Irene Wurzer (Dan) and James Wiederin (Kathy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In accordance with COVID-19 rules, a mask must be worn at all times.
