He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Hummell and Francis Hummell (Shirmer); his grandson Ryan Emken; his sister Leola Prottsman (Donald); and his brother-in-law Dale Koble.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy of Cedar Rapids; his children, Kurt Hummell (Michelle) of Cedar Rapids, Jason Hummell (Jennifer) of Keystone and Brenda Conyn (John) of Spencer; his grandchildren, Ross, Adam, Joel, Luke, Paul, Janie and Jolie; his siblings, Mary Koble, Kenny Hummell (Connie), Bob Hummell, Henry Hummell (Mary Lou) and Fran Martin (Tom); and also Pleasant.
