He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Johnson and Alice Johnson (Dougherty); his former wife Linda Johnson; his brother Ed Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Chalupsky and Sherry Johnson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gina Reynolds (Matt) of Cedar Rapids, Jennifer Johnson (Gary Petrick) of Fairfax and Kelly Kelly (Sean); his grandchildren, Kyra and Jacob Reynolds; his siblings, Joan Chalupsky of Shueyville, Judy Nicholls (Jerry) of Solon, Dan Johnson (Pat) of Shueyville and Don Johnson of Walford; and his sister-in-law Becky Johnson of Cedar Rapids.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
