He is survived by: his children, Caitlyn Neumann (Josh), Danielle Neumann (Ty) of Cedar Rapids, Amy Pegump (Corey) of Oxford, IA, Vickie Wahl (Corey) of Cedar Rapids, Mike Frederick (Elissa) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Sharon Frederick of Arizona, Thomas Frederick, Michele Frederick and Heather James of Lexington, KY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
