With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie Abouassaly (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), who passed away on August 6, 2018 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her husband Hanna; her children, Gwen AbouAssaly, Atty AbouAssaly and George AbouAssaly (Batina); her grandchildren, Jim Atty (Lilly), Christine Lenhardt (Paul), Gabrielle, John, Nicholas, Alexa, Grace, Andrew, Elena, Alex AbouAssaly, Zayna, Simone and Christopher Bardawil; and her siblings, Michel Gharib (Tammy) and Dunia Abodeely. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to: The Linn-Mar School Foundation (marked, "Marie AbouAssaly Scholarship"); or to St. George Orthodox Church.
