It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Hughes of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on November 16, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Hazel Tisher; and her stepfather Howard Tisher. She is survived by: her children, David Hughes Jr., Angela Wittmer (Tim) and Michael Hughes (Vidal); her siblings, Dixie Mclaud (Dave), John Tisher (Karla) and Roxann Tisher; her grandchildren, Cameron Hughes, Austin Montelius (Rhiannon) and Andrew Montelius; and her husband David Hughes. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
As mandated by proclamation, social distancing must be practiced which requires a limited number of people allowed in the visitation at one time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may left in Mary's name with the Alzheimer's Association.
